DP Makes It EZ

Published by rainy at 12:52 am under Cards

I couldn’t resist buying this designer paper Saturday. I went shopping because I needed to get new blades for my paper cutter. Well no matter how many times I tell myself when I walk through the door, ‘I will walk PAST the designer paper. I will NOT stop. I will NOT look.’ I always do, and I always find some that I just HAVE to have. This paper is from one of those great big pads with a whole collection of papers in different patterns in coordinating colors. They sure do make beautiful rich easy backgrounds. Yummy!

As soon as I got home I stole up to my craft room and made a couple of cards. Besides the sentiments, I stamped a row of fleur de lee flourishes at the top of the saffron panel on the burgundy card. On the saffron card the main image is stamped in craft ink.

Stamps: So Saffron Card Sentiment from Rubber Moon and main image from Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps “Frame It”; Bravo Burgundy Card Sentiment and Fleur de Lee from See D’s “Phrases Collection” and “Victorian Flourishes”

Paper: So Saffron, Bravo Burgundy, DP from K & Company

Ink: Bravo Burgundy Classic and Craft

Accessories: Bravo Burgundy GG Ribbon, Satin Roses, Rhinestone Brads, Always Artichoke Brads, Circle Punches

These cards truly are beautiful! The colors are so rich! I am using DP on my cards more often, but I don’t think I’ve been able to make them look this good! *sigh* maybe some day when I grow up! ;)

These cards are so lovely! I hope I can find that DP! Do you have the name of the K&Co pad? I’d love to find it! Jeanne

These cards are so elegant. Gorgeous colors and paper! (I have a hard time resisting pattern paper too.) The images, layouts, and all your details are perfect together. TFS! Pat

I can see why you couldn’t resist! The colors and designs are gorgeous, and so are your cards they inspired. At least you made something right away with your new papers. I should try that once in a while! :o) Linda

Loved your DP story…you run to it, I run away from it as I’m still trying to work with the stuff. Having just “one creative gene” does hinder one’s ability!! Lovely cards and I really like the layout of the one on the left.

Gorgeous!!! WOW!!! (None of us can escape the PP! lol. I always say it makes me a lazy stamper, but I love it anyway!)

Both of these are beautiful!! Love the paper too!!

Yes, sigh…I know, I know… Good for you, using your new papers right away. I should learn something from you. These are so gorgeous. I love the vintage feel and beautiful layouts.
