Rainy Day Blog Candy! SAB Winner’s Choice!

Here’s a silly card I made with the Birthday Whimsy set.blog21withwm.jpg

Silly because I thought it would be neat to cut off the bows at the top of the presents and attach silver cording through the middle of the image. But it wasn’t. What was I thinking! To repair the damages I added some funky fibers. I think it helped make them look a little more like gifts again. But next time I’m definitely leaving on the bows!!

    I actually like those little fibers on the presents better than a bow on top! That jewel in the corner and the pretty bow combine to make this a great card! TFS

    Great card for thinking outside the box! If you can’t experiment with stamps, what fun is stamping :-)! What if you tried something like embroidery floss to make bows around the presents? It might be less chunky than cord and less jumbled than the fiber? Either way, thanks for sharing a card that got me thinking!

    I don’t think the card is silly. You recovered nicely using the fibres. I think I can see the presents are embossed - or am I seeing things?
    You could have put the silver cording around the gifts in each direction and then simply tied the cording into a bow and used a glue dot to put in on with. Putting the cord on before attaching it to your black background. I like it though with the colours you used and also the corner bling. Lots of people here before me and I just received your email! Your blog Candy is extremely generous.
