I don’t know why I pulled out this set and made dinosaur cards. I need to make a graduation card and some Father’s Day cards. And I’m getting way behind on the SCS Christmas Card Challenge. So I know what. Let’s pull out the dinosaur set and make a couple of cards. I dunno. I guess it’s just like the sentiment on one of the cards says, “You’re never too old to do goofy stuff.”

Today at school my 16 year old got his yearbook. Wow!! This is like the coolest yearbook I’ve ever seen. The “Eastlake” on the front cover is just like the letters that the kids get to sew onto their letterman’s jackets. Oh and the entire book is in color and printed on beautiful glossy paper with full page foldouts! I have to say I’m totally impressed!

  1. Love your cards — FUN!!! WOW — what a yearbook!!! I know — with the digital books now they can do so much!!! Ours have improved greatly as well — but no fuzzy words yet — LOL!!!

  2. These cards are so cute and you must have had such fun making them. The yearbook is a real eye popper too with that embroidered lettering on the cover! WOW!! They’ve come a long way with yearbooks since I was in school!
What I found amusing about this post is that the cards and the yearbook coordinate to bring a personal meaning for me. You see, I went to school in the dinosaur age! *snort*
    TFS 🙂

  3. Love both your dinosaur cards, they are great, sometimes we just have to go with our inspiration and make it even if we do have a long list of other cards that need to be done. The yearbook looks great, love the cover and pull outs, wow they have come a long way since I was in school, but we won’t go into that one.

  4. Your cards just make me want to make dinosaur cards and our family has no little ones (sigh)! Fabulous job. Best cards I’ve seen done with this set.
    Spectacular yearbook!

  5. Lovely cards. Very special.

  6. Your cards are awesome, Susan! I really LOVE that first one where you stretched the dinosaur out behind those trees. It makes him look really, really big!! TFS!

  7. Wow! CUTE cards!! I love how you put the trees in front of the dino on the first one – and the twill is perfect on the second!
And that yearbook! Holy Cow! That is awesome!!!! I have never seen a cover like that!

  12. That is such an adorable dinosaur card….love it! Wow, that’s quite the yearbook…ours were nothing like that….boring old hardcovers….lol

  13. I love these dino cards! I definitely need to take the sentiment to heart and purchase some “fun & goofy” stamp sets because I’m in such a stamping rut and need something different to spark a little creativity. What a great yearbook! I haven’t seen any covers like that yet. Although I had to chuckle because in my mind, I said “We Are . . . Penn State!” LOL!!! Thanks for sharing!

  14. Susan, I love those cute dinosaur cards and that is the coolest yearbook I have ever seen!
