“May” Christmas Cards

Yes, I know, it’s June. I had fallen behind on the Splitcoaststampers Christmas Card Challenge to make 10 Christmas Cards each month. But with these I have caught up!

There is one thing though… the sentiment. It always seems to be the hardest part of making the card. I still haven’t decided where I like it best or if no sentiment at all is my favorite. What do you think?

OMG, these are drop-dead gorgeous! If I have to choose, I would say my favorite is the card w/o a sentiment.

I love all of these cards! I like the message sideways on the right.

  3. antjeon 09 Jun 2008 at 11:04 am

OMG that is beautiful….and the amount ist WOW…. guess I should go and do some as well….. I like a sentiment on cards and think all positions are good! Off to make Christmas cards….

I like it w/o the sentiment and also along the side… what do you think about embossing the sentiment in white along the side on the dark green??? Whatever you do, they’re beautiful!

I wish I was already starting on my Christmas cards… I did the ‘make a few each month’ last year… and now I’m all Christmas’ed out… I still can’t think of Christmas cards without getting underwhelmed!

These are beautiful. I should start mine so I’m not in such a rush during Christmas. :)

Christmas cards done already? you go girl!
These are beautiful cards! I bought 4 sheets of that same holly DP 2 years ago and still haven’t used it (hoarding comes into play here). After seeing your cards I MUST use that pretty paper this year.
I prefer the card with no sentiment because it looks fabulous just like it is! The design and color on the ornaments is amazing!! I love colors, the stamped pine branches peeking out from beneath everything, and the snowflake brads in the corner. You did a great job on your Christmas card catchin’ up!!

Very nice cards; and getting a head start too. I like the sentiment on the side.

I like the 3rd one…where the sentiment is vertical. I’ve always liked that position for a sentiment. My second choice would be no sentiment at all. Great cards! I’m behind as well. I don’t think I did May yet. I have to check!

  11. Donna Bakeron 09 Jun 2008 at 7:52 pm

wow, what a gorgeous card!! I like the vertical one, but I tend to make it so you can read it from bottom to top (so the seasons would be on the bottom facing the fold)

These are stunning!!! I love the colors!

  13. Tanyaon 09 Jun 2008 at 8:49 pm

I like the two bottom options the best, but these cards are lovely! I love the bright ornaments and the pine tree look! I love Christmas! Yeay!

These are drop-dead gorgeous cards!!! I think I prefer the one without a sentiment, but I like Joella’s suggestion of maybe adding it vertically to the green panel. No matter where or if you have the sentiment, you’ve got one BEAUTIFUL card there! tfs

  15. lacyquilteron 09 Jun 2008 at 9:43 pm

These are beautiful. I vote for no sentiment.

  16. Susanon 10 Jun 2008 at 2:47 am

OMG these are gorgeous!! Your color choices and that DP are fabulous! I think they’re just perfect without a sentiment, but I also like Joelle’s idea of placing one vertically in the dark green panel. Wow!

I love Christmas and Christmas cards and yours are beautiful. I like the first one! I’m the only one so far.
You have the vertical happening, so it’s nice to have the sentiment going horizontal…tfs!

Susan, they are all gorgeous but I like the two on the left the best. :)

These are beautiful - and you are SO GOOD to be so organized and ahead of the game!!!

  20. charmaineon 10 Jun 2008 at 6:37 am

These are beautiful. I like it either on the side or without. I also liked the idea someone had of stamping it in white on the green cardstock to the side.

These are amazing. I love the colors, the photo corners….everything.

  22. Pinkyon 10 Jun 2008 at 7:20 am

Susan, I like the one w/the sentiment on the side or none at all! The cards are so beautiful that you do not necessarily need a sentiment in my opinion. THese are beautiful Christmas cards and congrats to you for being on the ball for your Christmas list! We all need to do this for sure!

I like the first one with the sentiment over the bulb!!! Very cute

  24. Deb Woodon 10 Jun 2008 at 8:14 am

These are gorgeous, I like the sentiment on card #3 the best!

  25. Kikoon 10 Jun 2008 at 8:42 am

Beautiful! Love the ornaments! Are they one stamp, smaller stamps, or DP? Sometimes a card design just speaks for itself without a sentiment, and I think this one certainly does. Just stamping your holiday wishes on the inside would be the perfect finish.

  26. Kikoon 10 Jun 2008 at 8:46 am

Never mind my previous question. I found the ornament stamps on the DaNami website! Very pretty… thanks for the inspiration!

Oh my gosh Susan, these are gorgeous. I’m going to case these for my husband’ office cards this year, they’re perfect. You always amaze me with your beautiful work.

  28. Heather T.on 10 Jun 2008 at 1:44 pm

These are beautiful, I will need to remember these for inspiration when I start making Christmas cards in the months to come.

I’ll probably kick myself for not doing the challenge this year. What incredibly gorgeous cards you made. And TEN of them! ONE of these festive beauties would be quite an accomplishment. LOVE them, Susan!

  30. Shel9999on 11 Jun 2008 at 4:04 am

What gorgeous Christmas cards!! You have a fabulous head start this year!! (I, on the other hand, do not. lol.)

  31. Rose Annon 17 Jun 2008 at 8:12 am

They’re all sooo beautiful!! If I had to choose a favorite (which is so hard to do), I would choose one of the bottom two!! Just gorgeous, Susan!!!

  32. Tammy-on 29 Jun 2008 at 9:12 am

I love it on the side…adds a bit of modern twist to it. It’s a stunning card!
