Day three of Flourishes new releases brings me to my final set for July called “Poppy Patch”. There have been some beautifully colored… oh so beautifully colored poppies shown by the design team members. But today I want to show this stamp set with no coloring in at all. These images are so beautiful. I think they look simply elegant even standing all on their own.
I just inked up the images with my markers and stamped. Quick and easy.. which I believe also qualifies this card for Sharon’s Stamp Simply Challenge. Her challenge is to make a thank you card. Since I again used that wonderful script background stamp from the new Flourishes “Thank You” set on my card, it works!
I added one of my favorite accessories some black flat back Pearls to the center of the poppy. The designer paper is Basic Grey’s “Scarlet’s Letter”. The ribbon is May Arts’ Sheer Polka Dot.

Okay if you have a queazy stomach you may not want to click on the picture below. But I just HAVE to share. It’s the whole proud mom thing goin’ on here. lol It’s my son. He is in dental school and yesterday he called me very excited. A milestone for him as he performed his first procedure that has to be performed by a doctor. Everything he has done up until yesterday could also be performed by a nurse/dental assistant. His “patient” is another dental student. Yes!! They practice on each other! lol He had his turn in the chair, too, and drove home with his mouth completely numb from all the injections!
I LOVE Fridays!! Hope everyone has a great one!
Susan, this is just gorgeous! congrats to your son – looks like fun (not…hate those shots)
This is so pretty Susan! And congrats to your son! 🙂
Beautiful card…..and congrats to your son. Joan
This is another stunning card!!! I have loved seeing this release!
Congratulations to your son!
Beautiful card!
And how cool for Jeff!!!
Your card is stunning, Susan! I love it! (Okay, so what card of your don’t I love?!)
You must be really proud of your son…and really glad that you didn’t have to be his guinea pig. lol I never realized that dentists in training actually had to ‘work’ on healthy mouths. Ouch!
Very pretty! I don’t like those shots either. YUK!
Susan, I absolutely love this design. Using the poppy as a backdrop for the wonderful sentiment is stunning. Your sponging, DP panel, and ribbon are perfect additions to this beauty of a card!
Oops! Forget to add my congrats to Jeff! And, of course to his proud Mom!!
This is gorgeous, Susan. I love the image and words stamped together and the accent of dp is too cool.
The pink around the outside of the white panel really sets it off. And the DP underneath is just perfect. A beautiful card, Susan.
Susan, your card is lovely! I love the overstamped words…beautiful!
Congratulations to your son too!
the flowers do look wonderful even not colored in. Beautiful card Susan. Uh… they practice on eachother. yikes. that could be scary. hee hee Very cool for your son though.
Very pretty card. I am glad you found my blog! I hate to do this to you, but you’ve been tagged! Check my blog for instructions – hope you play along.
Susan, THIS is what Stamp Simply is all about! You’ve made a card that’s so beautiful it would stop me in my tracks anywhere, yet I know it could be remade very quickly in endless color and paper combinations. I absolutely love it! The pearls in the flower center are a brilliant idea!
Hey, proud mom!! Congrats on your son’s milestone! You have to hand it to those brave souls–it takes a lot of nerve, I think, to let someone practice giving you an injection in your gums! Yikes!!!
that is super cool. (about your son) I wish my daughter would be a dentist.
I love your card!
How beautiful these look just stamped, not colored!! You have proven that a good image can stand on its own!
Another gorgeous card Susan! I love the simplicity of this card! It looks so elegant and those poppies are so gorgeous!!
WTG proud Mom & Jeff! I’m really happy for your son and his accomplishments!
I agree that these stamps are beautiful even without coloring!! Of course you’ve showcased this perfectly, as your card is soooo lovely, Susan!!
A huge congratulations to your son!!!! This doesn’t make me queasy at all. (I’m a registered/certified dental assistant) *wink*
