Welcome to the World Precious Granddaughter

Published by rainy at 10:58 am under Cards, Just Talkin'

I have seen a lot of these darling onesie cards.  I just had to make one for my little granddaughter that is to be born any day now.

blog137withwm.JPG

If you want to make one, too, Kay Kalthoff (Speedystamper) has a wonderful tutorial on her blog “Stamping to Share”.  Thank you, Kay!!

This will most likely be my last post for awhile.  I am jumping on a plane Wednesday morning and heading to my son’s home to help them move into their new home.  DH and teenage son will have to hold down the home front here and “bach’” it for awhile”.  *chuckle*

smileyairplaneani.gifMy DDIL is on bed rest and really must NOT help with any of the move.  So hopefully I can fill in there.  And who knows.. while I am there maybe little Kaitlyn Abigail will decide it is time to make her appearance into this world!  She will be my third granddaughter.  With four sons it just shows there can be justice in this world!  lol  With so much to do before I go and company coming the day after I get back, I simply will not have time to play and blog.  I will still choose a winner of my blog candy on Friday, but will not get it mailed out until after I am back home.  (If you haven’t checked out yesterday’s post, you might want to take a look.  I have a challenge and some blog candy!!)

Oh and don’t forget about Sharon’s blog celebration which continues through Friday of this week!!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day!

What a great idea to use non traditional paper for a baby card. I love it. The sentiment is super cute too. It is a stamp or did you Alphabet stamps?

We haven’t decided for sure that her name is going to be kaitlyn. We also haven’t decided how we want to spell it. There are so many options. Katelyn, katelynn, kaitlyn and kaitlynn. I personally like the first the best.
This post has been edited: Jeff!! You weren’t suppposed to see this post!! I thought you would be too busy studying for your finals this week to be bothered with reading your mom’s blog! lol I know you haven’t decided on a name for sure yet but Kaitlyn Abigail or Katelyn Abigail was the last one you gave me, and I LOVE IT! See you soon!

Congratulations on becoming a grandma to another precious little girl! I love the name they’ve chosen, and the card you made to celebrate the occasion! I’ve always made my onsie cards in pastel colors, but I love the rich, vintage look of this one done in darker cardstock! That tiny flower and bow just sets it off perfectly! You’re such a thoughtful Mom to fly off and help your son move during his time of need! I hope you have a safe trip, and feel well enough to entertain when you arrive back home! Whew, I wish I could tap into your energy source:) I’m already tired just thinking about the work that lies ahead of you!
Have fun! I’ll miss you while you’re gone :)
