This card was made for a friend of mine who recently lost a feral cat to kitty aids.  Barbara had been trying to help/save “Harry” for the past several months.

If a feral cat could ever learn to trust a human, it would be Barbara.  She is a kind and gentle soul.

I’m so sorry, Barb.

smileyslapforeheadani.gifMy apologies on the late announcement of the winner of my Birthday Blog Candy!  I closed the comments and went to random.org on Sunday night and then FORGOT to post it.  Well… I’m old.  That’s my excuse, and I’m stickin’ to it!  So without further ado…

Congratulations, Bonnie!  You are the winner!!  I will email you to get your snail mail address.

Happy Crafting!!

So I’m a day late and a dollar short wishing you a Happy Birthday Susan. Thanks for sharing your creativity and your grandkids (they’re so cute!) with us all.

Today is fellow blogging friend, Christi Milliken’s birthday.  smileybdaycake1ani.gif

blog228cardcloseupwithwm.jpg

When her mom contacted me to see if I wanted to participate in a fun blog hop for Christi, my answer was a resounding, “Yes!”

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Christi!!  May you have many many many more.

blog228cardjarwithwm.jpg

The jar of 50 primas was made from a baby food jar.  The lid was painted with acrylic paint and a gingham ribbon was attached.  The sentiment and circular floral border are from JustRite’s “Big Occasions Centers & Borders” set.  It is attached with dimensionals.

blog228jarwithwm.jpg

Your next hop along the way, Christi, is over on Jeanette Fincher’s blog.

Have fun, Birthday Girl!smileybdaycandleani.gif

Yup.  Today is my (57th!!!) birthday and to celebrate I thought Blog Candy sounded like a fun idea!  Yes?

A pink and green color combo has always been a favorite of mine.  So when I saw these papers with their matching chipboard butterflies, my heart began to flutter.  lol  And with Valentine’s Day fast approaching, these designer papers, butterflies and Prima “Fancies” will be perfect.  Not to mention for Mother’s Day, Birthdays, Weddings…

blog229allsizedwithwm.jpg

So the Blog Candy includes:

4 Wood Mounted Stamps: “happy birthday” and “happy mother’s day” both Memory Box; “Happy Valentine’s Day” by Inkadinkado; and “Wishing you a lifetime of love & joy” by A Muse

1 box of (28) Chipboard Butterflies with Gems from K&Company (These are gorgeous!!)

blog229chipboardwithwm.jpg

1 package of Prima Fancies from Prima Marketing

Another wedding and another card made using the invitation.  I love doing this.  It seems to me that the bride will surely like the card if it is made with the very paper and colors that she picked out.. no?  This particular invitation was made with an irresistibly beautiful and shimmery card stock, too, which made it all the more fun.

blog226closeupwithwm.jpg

The invitation was cut to size for the black card base.  A decorative corner punch was used on the two top corners, and a couple of scored lines were made below the image.  Paper was pierced with an Ornare’s piercing tool and template.  The bottom border is punched with Martha Stewart’s “Garden Trellis” Deep Edger Punch.

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.  One of my sons (my twin granddaughters’ dad) and his wife that live in Las Vegas went to “Penn and Teller” on Saturday.  Well my son was called up on stage to “help” Penn and Teller with one of their magic tricks.  Now how cool is that!

This past Saturday was my youngest granddaughter’s 1st birthday.  Here is the card I made for her big day.  I got to fly in and give it to her personally!  Woohoo!

blog227withwm.jpg

This darling image called “Orson with Cake” was a free download from “There’s Magic in the Air”.  It can now be found at Paper Cupcakes.  It is colored with Copics.

blog227closeupwithwm.jpg

I am still out of town visiting with her.  Hope the guys back home don’t mind “baching” it for a few more days.  :)

Happy Birthday, {{{Kate}}}!

Here are a couple of cards I made using an emboss and stamp technique where only the embossed areas receive any ink.  In both instances the cardstock was dry embossed using a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Then the embossed or raised areas were stamped.  (Read more about it here.)

On this first card, as in the past, I used the mirror image stamp to apply the ink by running it over and across the embossed areas.

On this second card, however, I used a Paisley Backgrounder stamp.  I first stamped the background image and then applied the remaining ink the same as with the mirror image stamp by running it over the embossed areas.  I just love this effect!

We had a wonderful Christmas at our home.  A last minute decision to have my son, Gary and his family, fly in for a week meant that Santa would be paying a visit again this year.  It was so fun.

blog225christmasmorning09.jpg

We made a gingerbread house and baked cookies.

blog225gingerbreadhouse09.jpg

We had some crafting time, too.smileyscrapperani.gif

Yup I’m still over in the CLASSroom having fun with Ellen’s “12 Days of Christmas”.  The project below was for Day 8 of the celebration, but because of some blog issues I wasn’t able to upload any pictures until now.

blog224lockhartjarwithwm.jpg

However, you still have until Thursday, January 7th to comment on all of the goodies up for grabs.  So if you haven’t been over there… well you really should make the trip!

smileygirlhappydanceani.gifSee you there!!!
