This past weekend my DDIL was in a terrible car accident which resulted in a several car pile up on the freeway.  She was very lucky.  Her little Mazda performed beautifully..  the crumple zones crumpled, the engine block dropped and the airbag deployed.  She walked away with only minor injuries.  I thought about sending her a sweet “Thinking of You” type card and am still not sure that that is not what I should do instead of sending this silly one I made for her.  What do you think?  Is it still too soon to be making light of it?  There was one person who was much more seriously injured.

I made this card with today’s color challenge over at Splitcoaststampers in mind, as well.  It includes Perfect Plum, and Kimber’s favorite color is purple.  So that is why the fire hydrant is purple.  That works.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.  Life is so fragile.  Live every moment of it that you can to the fullest!!

Edited: Just wanted to thank those of you who encouraged me to send the card to Kimberly.  I did, and she responded.  Here is part of her response: “Thanks a bunch for the card you sent after my accident! It made me laugh! And it was a very “ruff” day. I’m just sooo thankful beyond words that everything was fine. Well, besides Jeff’s car!”
