Played along in this week’s sketch over at Operation Write Home.
To give the sentiment a little dimension, the paper and bar section of the typewriter was stamped a second time. The sentiment was then stamped on it and cut out. This small section of the image was then adhered over the complete image of the typewriter.
But there was a problem! After closer examination of the sketch, I realized that I had NOT followed it correctly.
What to do? Try again, of course! LOL
This is such a great sketch. Really loved it (both versions!) hehe
If you make any cards for OWH and have their name stamp, don’t forget to stamp it on the back of each card you send.
Happy Crafting!

Whether or not you followed the sketch, your card turned out great. Both cards have a wonderful masculine quality to them. Hope you have a wonderful Easter.
Love the burlap and the sketch.
Both great cards, Susan! I love the burlap, especially. The sketches are just a jumping off point, loose interpretation is encouraged! Thanks for joining us in this week’s OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!
Love the texture and dimension you have to the first card, like the patriotic feel the second has to it!
They’re both delightful and so different that’s it’s hard to pick one.
I didn’t know OWH had challenges..off to check it out. I just made some cards for OWH!
Fantastic Father’s Day creations, Susan. Love them both, especially the dimension and the texture of the burlap layer on the first card!
What a clever way to add dimension on your typewriter card!
What awesome Father’s Day cards, Susan…love the typewriter and the burlap on the first one and the the colors and papers on the second one are beautiful!!!!! I’ll have to give the sketch a try!!!
I thought you did just fine with the typewriter card & the sketch. The second one is great too Susan.

Great cards for father’s day, and I like them both too! That old typewriter really brings back the memories 🙂
Oh my word, Susan….love love LOVE the burlap on that first one. Too cool!
