With Christmas just around the corner, it’s crunch time! To get my Christmas cards made, I’ve been busy playing with a new Hostess set from SU! called “Warmth and Wonder”. Just love this sweet set.
I decided to start with the darling tree image in the set and play along in this week’s challenge over at Less Is More.
Each card has a different patterned paper on it. It was SO FUN going through several pads to find the papers that would work. Apparently I found several that did! LOL
Without any embellishments, the cards are super mailable. 
By using a marker and coloring directly onto the stamp, the lights on the trees can be multicolored.
When coloring a stamp with markers, it can be difficult to differentiate what color is where. On this particular image, I found it easiest to use just one color at a time.
After using part of the image and doing all of the trees with one color, I cleaned the stamp and colored the other parts with the second color and stamped the remaining lights.

Wow, Susan, you got a lot of cards done! These are beautiful and I like how you varied them a bit with different papers and ink for the ornaments. Breaks up the job of making so many. Great ideas!

Very cute card! I tend to put more on a card than necessary but this is just right! I love the fact that is flat so it is very mailable! I tend to hoard lots of green pattern paper so I bet I have a lot that will work. I love the gingham card especially. Seeing them all lined up made me think of the top part of the card – it looks sort of like a Santa hat! Anyway, I really like this idea. I want this hostess set anyway. So, hopefully, I can CASE it. I might have to vary a couple of cards as I have a friend who demands a blue holiday card and one demanding a purple one. I think I can handle this. Thanks for a great doable idea! I apologize for my lack of comments – I hope this helps!
These are very cute, I have the same problem when doing trees for fall season and want to have different colors, I think I kind of get them mixed a bit, I like how you used different background papers to change them up a bit, I think that makes it more fun to create when you are doing a lot of the same image. I so need to get started on my Christmas cards.

I just love this cute card design, so perfect for mailing as they only require single postage! Those decorated trees look great in a grouping, and I really like the assorted patterns in the papers too!
