Is January really almost over?!? Between all the Holiday activities, building a house and hitting the slopes, I have been helping my son’s girlfriend make some fun and crafty projects for her 1st grade classroom. I need to visit her class and take some pictures of the agenda strips and job charts, the library checkout system and the attendance magnet board to name a few of the projects I’ve worked on played with. It has been quite a journey for her as she travels through her first year of teaching! And it’s been so fun for me that she has let me help her “decorate” her classroom!
Well it’s good to finally be back in my craft room making a few cards.
Made this one with a few challenges in mind to help get the rusty creative side brushed off:
Less Is More: Week 260 Recipe to include a SILHOUETTE in your creations.
Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog: Challenge #147 Anything Goes + A Sentiment
This second card is for my DBIL.
Again used some challenges to help get the cobwebs out of my brain!
Cardz 4 Guys Challenge Blog: Challenge #104 Spots and or Stripes
Addicted to CAS: Challenge #80 – Code Word RED

CAS(E) this Sketch!: Sketch #156

Oh, I love these! I’ve added vellum diecut leaves over the Brushed Off stamps, but I love how you stamped the leaves over top! I will have to remember this….
What a superb batch of cards from this sketch, so clever and lovely!
WOW! So striking and fabulous!
Love the depth of colour you’ve created and a brilliant CAS design.

Oh, Susan, you have been a very busy girl, and what a blessing you’ve been to your son’s girlfriend. What fun to decorate her classroom, and it was work and fun at the same time, I’m sure. I just love these two new cards to start off the year, and what great masculine cards these are. I love the grungy feel and great colors! What a cute sentiment too for the bottom one! Glad you are settled back in your craft room. It’s nice to take a break from time to time, but we always gravitate back to our comfy rooms! Hugs…so nice to see you back again!
Two really fabulous designs.
Hugs Diane
It’s great to see you crafting again Susan! I especially LOVE the first card with the trendy splashes of color and bold sentiment! The 2nd is really fun and so amusing with that great sentiment! So glad you’re having fun working with your son’s girlfriend’s classroom too! I’m sure that’s going to be a wonderful place for students to learn 🙂
I love your great guy cards! So happy to hear how much fun you are having outside of your craft room. I made my niece’s clip chart when she got her first classroom and thought how wonderful it would have been if I had been a paper crafter when I was class mom or PTA president!
Super cards, the second one is so fun!
Love and hugs

Adore the first one – great mix of colours and elements. Great job on the second as well.
