It’s summertime in Seattle.
We have had record high temperatures into the 100’s! Lake Sammamish is 82 degrees. Whew, we Pacific Northwesterners aren’t use to this heat! My DH and I have been riding our bikes every day. There are miles and miles and miles of bike trails in and around Seattle. Today we did a *little* 26+ mile trip (the farthest I ever ridden a bike at one time) and then finished it off with a dip in the lake and a bbq. Life is good!
Consequently I haven’t been playing much in my stamp room. It is upstairs over the garage, and our air conditioner was broken. (It’s so rare that we need a/c.. so who knew?) The one thing I did do was the August calendars for my sisters. Here are all 3 summer months of June, July and August with recipes below.

It’s May already!?! Well I never posted April’s calendars for my sisters (they were sent in time) and now I have May’s calendar all delivered as well.
So here is April’s calendar.

I just can’t resist a little sparkle! lol
And here are the Copic Markers used.

Then there’s May’s calendar.

Again, I just had to add a little sparkle to the flowers.

Here at the Copics used for the May calendar.

This is turning out to be such a fun project. And I hear from my sisters each month now, too, of how much they are enjoying receiving them.

Happy Crafting!

Yes it is half way through the month. Fortunately I am only late posting my sisters’ March calendars and not late sending them. I was able to finish and mail them before I went to visit my sick little granddaughter, Katelyn, at the end of last month. She is now feeling ever so much better. Yay!! I can’t believe I went for over two weeks without blogging!! Well time flies when there are darling little girls to visit and hold. My twin granddaughters live in the same city, too, so it was a truly joyful trip! And since I shared a picture of the twins yesterday, I mustn’t show favorites, right? lol Here is sweet little Katelyn.

What girl doesn’t love having her hair done! Isn’t she precious!! Okay… back to the calendars.

I inked the rubber directly with my SU! Always Artichoke marker and then stamped each image. The images were then colored with Copic markers and outlined with a Stardust Glitter Pen.

Kaiser flatback pearls from Flourishes were added to the corners. The calendar is a download from A Muse. Now it’s almost time to get busy making April’s calendars!! Happy rest of March!

Well it’s almost February and month two of my year long project to make each of my sisters a calendar. And… I’m still on schedule!!! *chuckle* Yup, the February pages are finished, mailed and should be arriving in my sisters’ mailboxes today.

Each floral image is outlined with my Stardust Glitter Pen. I just love that thing!

It seems that every year I promise to take my 4 sisters out to lunch for their birthdays. However since we don’t live close to each other, it rarely actually happens. So this year I’ve decided that I will make them each a calendar instead. All of their birthdays are in the 1st quarter of the year, but the surprise will still be a little early as they receive this month’s page in a couple of days. I hope it will be a fun gift for them each month as the next month’s page arrives.
The calendar is a download from A Muse. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the calendar benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

SU! has an old retired set called “Flower of the Month” that has been sitting on my shelf gathering dust and patiently waiting for just such a project. I colored the image with markers and then lightly spritzed with water before stamping on watercolor paper. The stand for the calendar is an empty CD case.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season. Happy New Year!!
