Bring on the Weddings

Published by rainy at 12:01 am under Cards

It’s June and it’s that time of year.  For the last few weeks the wedding invitations have been arriving, and I love it!  Wedding cards are so much fun to make.

To continue my personal commitment to use some of my ever growing designer paper supply, this set of cards was made using pieces from seven different sheets of the Making Memories “I Do” designer paper pack.  Each card has a strip of coordinating paper on the inside as well.

This first card was colored with Copic Markers.

The main image panel is popped up on dimensionals.  The sentiment on the main image panel is also popped up.

Card number two uses three different designer papers.smileybooyahani.gif

There is no stamped sentiment on this card.  The words are part of one of the designer papers.  The bird is embossed in silver.

Besides using a couple of designer papers, I also used a wide crocheted lace ribbon and scalloped satin ribbon on card number three.  There are lots of patterns and textures here for sure!

I love these little heart charms, too.

The last card uses a piece of designer paper that includes the floral image.  The sentiment is stamped directly onto the designer paper.

The heart is embossed in silver.

I have another One Sheet Wonder in the works to help me part with even more of my treasured paper.  It’s a trick that I’ve discovered enables me to use the paper because there is no wasted little bits and pieces.

Happy Crafting!

I love these cards. My stepdaugher is getting married on Saturday and I have been drawing a blank on a card. The Together Forever set of mine has not seen ink in forever. I think that will be the one I use. I love the tiny heart charms and the stick pin you used. Great job.

Every one of these wedding cards is so beautiful, and each one is so different from the others! I especially love your dp and ribbon/trim choices with the dainty heart charms on the black and white one; the simplicity of the scallops and the single pearl on the floral one; the varied elements and luscious wide satin ribbon on the embossed bird one; and on the last card, the touch of pale yellow with the silver embossed heart and pearl stick pin — they’re all so lovely and elegant. Beautiful work, Susan!
